Today's Message: A Servant of Jesus Christ
The Christian who strives to read and obey God's Word becomes a more effective servant of Jesus Christ.

Doing the will of God goes beyond saying that I believe in Jesus and going to church. When we accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives, we receive the spiritual nature of God and sincerely desire to follow His Will. True repentance results in a change of heart and lifestyle as we come to the realization that we are no longer condemned for our sins.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” - Romans 8:1-8. The word condemnation means to be charged and convicted of every one of the sins of the past and even future. The second we admit that we are sinners and call on Jesus to save us we are released of all the charges against us and our record is wiped clean. What Paul is explaining is that when we truly accept Jesus into our lives we no longer desire to walk in the flesh, meaning do the sinful things that we have been doing, but to walk in the Spirit of God, who indwells in all who believe in Him. We must realize that we will not change completely over night. This change will manifest itself as we get baptized, learn the Word of God, become involved in sharing the Good News, and becoming involved in a local church when physically able. The more we learn about Him, the more we desire to do His will.

Sadly, some people join a church, attend worship services, give generously, and assume that their good works are sufficient for entrance into heaven. God is concerned first with what we
are, which is His children, then with what we do for Him. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:33-39. Although God loves each and every person He created (everyone), there are only a few that He wants to spend eternity with, that's His elect. God knows exactly who will follow Him, whether they are true or not, and what they are to do for Him and He will stop at nothing to get them to realize that. Nothing can take us away from doing God's Will or separate us from Him.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night
God Bless You,
Christina
