Today's Message: Best We Can Be
God knows exactly who we are and what we are going to become, He knows our thoughts, our strengths, our weaknesses, and knows who and when His children will serve Him. Day by day He prepares us to be the best we can be.

The Holy Spirit inspired David to write a Psalm about the mystery of God's creation of man. God reveals that at conception we become a person, a living soul that has a special personality and purpose to be used for God's glory. He knows who we are going to be before we do, “O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” - Psalm 139:1-16. Although, as an unborn infant, we are hidden from human view, as if buried in the earth, our bodies are no mystery to our Creator, He skillfully prepares us for our God ordained destines while here on earth. We think we have all the control, but in reality He knows our hearts, He even knows which of His children will follow Him and go to heaven or walk away from Him and sadly, end up in hell.

The last four Psalms are David's heartfelt pleas, “Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.” - Psalm 143:1-6. At times we are so overwhelmed by our burdens that we forget God is with us, but He is in fact with us 24/7, all we have to do to reach Him is to call on Him. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30. We are to cast our burdens upon Jesus and He will give us rest.

It's funny and amazing sometimes how God works, as I was praying this morning I keep losing my focus and asking Him to forgive me for it. Then I began reading the chapters for today and there it was, thou hast searched me, and known me, God knows my heart, He knew that I was trying my best to talk to Him without any distractions. He also knew my burdens and that it was them that was keeping me from giving Him my full attention. Sometimes, we just can not do the things we long to do for God, but He knows our hearts, He knows we will get distractions and that it's not always easy to keep our focus on Him. However, He always gets us to see the true distraction and helps us through them as we cast our burdens upon Him. “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” - Psalm 55:22. It is comforting to know that even though we think we are failing God we are not. He will take care of all the burdens that keep us from being the best that He created us to be. Praise God!

Today's Prayer:

Dear God,
Lord, there is much we can learn from our temporal problems here on earth to prepare us to be the best that we can be.  As we work through these troubles enable us to have the mind of Christ so that attitudes reflecting the fruit of the Spirit become a spontaneous response to the difficulties that challenge us daily.  Help us not to become so caught up in viewing our daily challenges from an earthly perspective that we don’t look for the deeper, spiritual, and eternal meaning that You have to teach us in all things. In Jesus' Name..........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
God Bless You,
Christina
