Today's Message: Denying The Truth
The Holy Spirit is the only Spirit to provide you with the truths of the Bible. Any person, thought, or thing that tries to get you to believe that Jesus is not the Son of God is denying the truth.

Being born of God is much more than just becoming a member of a church or believing certain doctrinal facts about Jesus Christ. It affects our entire life, the heart as well as the head. It molds character, guides conduct, and leads us to know exactly what purpose we are here for. Many people will claim that they are born of God, yet have no clue as to what that means. The the Holy Spirit led the Apostle John to explain this further. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error...........In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ” - I John 4:1-6,9. What John is saying here is that there are some evil spirits out there using people that seem godly yet are far from it, deceiving many, many people. You need to pay attention to what is being taught to you in your church or Bible study group, if it does not line up with God's Word then they are deceiving you and you need to get out of there.

Someone who truly has the Spirit of God in him or her will follow the truth that Jesus is the one and only begotten Son of God whom came to earth born of a virgin, shed His blood and died on the cross, was buried and arose three days later to save and give all who believe in Him eternal life. “If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” - I John 5:9-12. Anyone who denies the truth about Jesus not only is a liar, but makes God to be one as well. God can not lie, everything written in the Bible is true, directed by the Holy Spirit, and given to us for some reason. Those who have accepted the truth about Jesus have eternal life, those who do not will not.

I have done some research on religions that claim to know who Jesus is and it is simply ridiculous what I found out, many believe that Jesus was just a prophet and died never to return, some believe that He has a child from Mary Magdalene, I even learned of one that claimed that God Himself has a wife. Why would someone believe in this stuff? Because, it is far easier to believe lies than it is the truth. You know why? Because, deep down people who are doing things that they should not be doing do not want to hear the truth, if they simply ignore it they think they can keep doing what they are doing without any guilt. Let me tell you something living a lie does not last forever and everyone always finds out eventually, and when that happens the consequences are much greater than simply coming forward with the truth. I will tell you that I was once engaged to a man that fed me all sorts of lies and he thought he was really something for getting away with them. Well, today that man sits in prison and has been there for nine years. We can not escape the truth, it will catch up to us sooner or later.
As long as Christian's will walk the earth they will daily face the devil trying to get them to lose their faith in Jesus. We can not let the devil take control of what we believe! Be strong, stay in God's Word daily and ask Him each day to remove any corruption that you have be subjected to. Submit yourself to the Holy Spirit, let Him work in you and put on that Armour of God that shields you from all evil. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." - Ephesians 6:10-16.
