Hello My Friend/Guest,

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” - John 3:16-17.

Life is a valuable thing, and all that we have we would give for it to preserve it. Jesus is the only one who can preserve a life. When we trust our life with Jesus, He gives us eternal life, preserves us for eternity. This means that all who believe in the Gospel, that Jesus died, was buried, and raised from the dead to save their souls, will be saved. Yes, our flesh will die, but our soul will be preserved, waiting for the day when it will be restored to us in all His glory when Jesus returns.

The Book of Joel is the twenty-ninth book of the Old Testament/Bible and contains three chapters. The author of the book is Joel and it was written to the people in Judah. The time line for these events took place approximately between 860BC and 850BC. The purpose of the book was to warn Judah of their sin and need for repentance and to inform them of God's future restoration plans for the nation. What we are to learn from the book is that even in the midst of corrective judgment, God plans future blessings for His people. “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.” - Joel 2:32.

Through Joel, God warns the people of Judah, judgment is coming, make sure you tell your families and generation after that the day of the Lord is coming. “
The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel. Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten...Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.” - Joel 1:1-4,15.

Jesus will return and when He does there is no second chances, we must keep telling the lost the Gospel before it is too late. There is no purgatory, there is no soul sleeping, or whatever else these false religions are trying to deceive people with. There is only heaven and hell and when you die you will either receive eternal life or eternal danmation. “
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” -John 5:29,30.

God continues to give His warning of the day that Jesus will come and judgment will begin, He gives a promise to all who repent. “
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them...And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.” - Joel 2:1-3,11-13.

Zion is the
hill in Jerusalem, on which the Temple was built, God will dwell there and it will be the final gathering place for all His people, whether Jew or Gentile none are strangers to God if they repented and asked Jesus to save them. “Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.” - Romans 2:9-11.

While God does allow destruction He promises that He will restore all that has been lost to His people,
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things...And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed...And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.” - Joel 2:21,25-27,32.

God will restore everything He has taken away from us and then some, but all we need to do to receive those blessings is to repent. Judgment is coming, but we do not have to be afraid, Jesus will protect all who call on Him. Something amazing is revealed here,”
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered.” This is the same promise given to us, reminding us that God never meant for just one nation to come to believe in Him and follow His Son, but all nations. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:9-13.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, help me to look beyond the immediate to the deeper meaning of each day’s task. May the hope You place within this redeemed heart of mine stir up a joyful spirit and an overcoming attitude regarding the difficulties I encounter throughout the day. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within me as I rejoice in the unending hope I have in You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
