Hello My Friend/Guest,

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. – John 5:19-24.

It is a known fact that those who trust in the Savior are blessed, well beyond their salvation. Nations rise every day because of strong Christian leaders. However, slowly, nation upon nation are forsaking Christ for the things of the world. What good is it to praise God when Christ is nowhere to be seen or being rejected? He is God! Yet, everyone nation around us is doing that very thing. The sad thing is that while the world gets what it wants people are dying and going to hell. The good news is that we do not have to fall into condemnation; we have the Savior who will give us life.

Often nations strive on the suffering of others, the smallest nation can become so large through power and money that it deems itself as indestructible and above God. At the time of the Exodus, Egypt had grown to be a magnificent world power and had become famous in commerce, art, literature, science, and military might all by the power of God. However, centuries later, Egypt never seemed to grasp the fact that God was still in control of their great nation. Through Ezekiel, God foretold the end of Egypt as a great nation.

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales. And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven. And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.” -  Ezekiel 29:2-6.

Nations and people can turn away from God all they want, but that does not change the fact that He is still in control of everything and sooner or later all will know that He is the Lord. In order for our nations to be blessed we as individuals need to take a stand and realize that we cannot do this alone. We need God! “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”- Ephesians 6:13-16.

The king of Babylon and his army shall be instruments of this destruction; Nebuchadnezzar did not know that God was preparing him and his Babylonian armies to be His servants. While Babylon was not a God nation; God used them anyway to serve His purpose. Sometimes God will allow heathen nations to cause destruction, even on God nations. Why? So, they will turn to Him. God brought judgment upon Israel, Judah, Tyre, Sidon, Egypt, and other nations to cause them to realize, “that I am the Lord.” Through Ezekiel, God foretells of Babylon’s defeat over Egypt.

All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD. I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known. I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee…When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.” – Ezekiel 32:8-11,15.

God's judgment is coming upon our own nation, which ever nation it may be, it is time that we prepare for the destruction and warn others as well before they get caught up in God's wrath too. We are no more powerful or special than any other country, we are blessed when we live according to God’s commands, and we suffer just the same. He will allow heathen nations to cause destruction upon our own so that we too will realize, that God is saying, “I am the Lord.” “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” – James 2:13.

Although God does place judgment upon all nations, He will not utterly destroy all of them, through Ezekiel, God foretells that although Egypt would no longer be a great and powerful nation of the world, it would not be utterly destroyed.

Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered: And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.” - Ezekiel 29:13-16.

Still today, Egypt has never regained the status of a world empire. It remains as a witness to the supreme authority of God. Once day, all Christians, who are scattered all over the world, will come together and find habitation in the land that God promised us. “And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it...And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.” - Revelation 21:24,27.

Today's Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
Lord, thank You for solving my debt problem by dying on the cross for me. I owed a debt I couldn’t pay, but because of Your great love for me. You made me alive together with You, having forgiven me of all my transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of death against me. Your love is so amazing and so divine that it demands my soul, my life, and my all.  In view of Your mercy, I offer my body as a living sacrifice to You, holy and pleasing to You alone. I love You, Lord. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
