Study: God Is Preparing You
In
this crazy world of life God knows how to prepare us for the tests
and trials that come each day. It is amazing that we can go about
each day as if it is just some ordinary day, but not to God. Each day
He prepares us and strengthens us for things that are going to
completely shock us in the future. As the Israelites were getting
ready to enter the promised land, God spoke through Moses one more
time, “Give
ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of
my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil
as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the
showers upon the grass: Because I will publish the name of the LORD:
ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is
perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without
iniquity, just and right is he.”
- Deuteronomy 32:1-4. To illustrate an important truth, God has
chosen the insignificant, but very important dew.
The heat of the sun and the dew of the night may seem far apart and
opposed to each other but, unaided by human hands, they work together
to produce a harvest. In dry seasons and in darkness it comes
unobserved and refreshes the grass. It does not come in sweeping
torrential showers, but descends gently and softly during the dark of
night when we are not aware that it is falling. However, in the
morning, everything is refreshed and prepared for the heat of the
day. While we sleep He prepares us and gets us ready for the day
ahead. He never places anything before us that we can not handle.
This illustrates how God's Word gently and unnoticeably renews us,
refreshes us, and brings life back to a soul that has been scorched
by the heat of the day.
Moses foretold of the great blessings
and happiness that would be theirs if they lived in obedience to the
Word of God. “There
is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in
thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The
eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:
and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say,
Destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain
of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens
shall drop down dew. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee,
O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the
sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto
thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.”
- Deuteronomy 33:26-29.
There is enough power in His outstretched arms to lift up every
person, His love reaches out to care for the most degraded one and to
protect and shelter even the weakest. His arms have power unlimited
and unconquerable. The everlasting
arms
are a great comfort to the child of God in the midst of this world's
perplexities and conflicts which threaten to discourage, defeat, and
destroy us every day. His everlasting
arms
extend far enough to embrace every person in the world, and are
strong enough never to get weary and open enough to accept all who
will come to Him. Praise God! “Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink?
or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For
after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye
first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
- Matthew 6:31-34.
Enjoy
the rest of your day/night and enjoy your weekend.
God
Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
