Today's Message: God's Promises
As a child of God, the circumstances we encounter are often used to His promises.

David was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this Psalm to remind everyone that we need to be very careful who we choose to associate ourselves with. “I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.” - Psalm 101. David chose his friends wisely, although we can not choose our family we can choose whether or not we allow their wickedness to influence us. I have several people in my family that have no intention of serving God at this moment, I love them, but I will not allow myself to be influenced by their corruption. Sadly, I barely see them because they know when they see me they see God, but I know that God is taking care of me and them, all I can do is pray for them in hopes that they will open their eyes and see the truth.

Some of the many reasons for praising the Lord are given in Psalm 103, as we look back upon our lives we are reminded of the numerous times we have prayed for forgiveness. God's continued mercy and patience through the years and the inheritance He has promised should lead us to say, “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's............The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” - Psalm 103:1-5,8-12. As Christians it is our loving Savior and Lord Himself who is our highest reason for praise. First, we praise Him for who He is, the all-powerful, all-wise, righteous Creator, and then we praise Him for His mercy and forgiving love in cleansing us from all our sins. We are blessed beyond measure as we no longer have to walk in shame or hide because we are redeemed and all of our sins have been washed away, never to return. Praise God!

God often uses painful circumstances in order to show us just how blessed we are. Although we may not know it at the time, all things that we endure have two goals, first, they help us build our relationship with God, second, they teach us to be the strong, Christ-like person that God created us to be. When God allowed the famine to occur in the land of Canaan Jacob had no idea what he was about to learn as he and his family migrated to Egypt for food. He not only discovered his son, Joseph, whom he thought was killed years ago, he also discovered that he was the ruler over all the land of Egypt. Psalm 105 is a reminder to all of the covenant that God had made with His people, including us today. All who accept Christ into their lives become the seed of Abraham, therefore we all will see the promised land. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” - Galatians 3:26-29. What a wonderful thing to look forward to, as we press forward, enduring the famines of our lives, we can rejoice knowing that we will see the promised land, which is none other than the Kingdom of Heaven. Praise God!

Today's Prayer:

Dear God,
Lord, we thank You for making us joint heirs together with the family of believers in this wonderful eternal inheritance that can never perish. We gratefully claim this inheritance and await the appointed date when we will experience in full the blessings it provides for us. Circumstances in this life diminish our hope, but rejoicing in the life yet to be revealed gives us a living hope! Help us to fix our present hope on the future return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jesus' Name.........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and week.
God Bless You,
Christina
