Today's Message: Harvest of Souls
God has provided His Word for us to sow as seeds in our own lives and the lives of others that there may be a great harvest of souls.

Is it any surprise that Satan relentlessly seeks to keep Christians so focused on material or financial goals that many are not reading what God has written as the only sure way of knowing the will of God. When we commit ourselves to obedience of God's Word, our first considerations should be love, loyalty, and service to our Lord. Nothing in life is to be more treasured or more priceless than knowing the Word of God. As Solomon spoke these proverbs to his son, God is also speaking to us as His children. “All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.” - Proverbs 8:8-14. The Word of God is more important and precious than anything that one can posses here on earth. We can never underestimate the power and value of knowing His Truths. Things like pride and arrogancy (self love) become less as we understand more and become wiser to how corrupted the world is. I can recall wasting many years of my life thinking that God's Word meant something totally different, it truly is more important than anything that the world has to offer me.

Every bit of instruction we need to live a wonderful and blessed life is found in the Bible, no matter how much we learn there is always much more to learn, we should never stop learning, it is literally the difference between living a long prosperous life or a short sad life. “Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it” - Proverbs 9:9-12. The more we read God's Word the wiser we become as we learn to fear (have respect for) Him. Wisdom and understanding covers every aspect of one's life: physically, morally, spiritually, and financially. The truth is, once we stop learning we become sort of like an antique, we have some knowledge, but we just grow old and slowly rot away and fall apart because no one wants to use us anymore. If we keep learning, we become wiser and not only do we become great teachers, we also prolong our lives as we continue to be used of God.

God has ordained us to sow the Seed of God's Word. Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” - Luke 10:2. What a wonderful feeling to know that God uses, ordinary, antique Christian's, who are willing to become laborers, to reap the harvest and win souls to Christ. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” - I Peter 2:9,10.

Today's Prayer:

Dear God,
We want to be faithful in sowing Your righteous truths by the manner in which we live and by the message we share with others. The gardener sows good quality seeds expecting a high yield as they grow into healthy, vibrant plants. But the wise gardener knows there will be involuntary weeds, dry spells, unwelcome pests, severe temperatures and other obstacles that will threaten the vibrancy of the sown seeds. Nevertheless the gardener must plant the seed to experience a future harvest.  Father, You have commanded that we too must sow the seeds of truth, no matter the yield we see with the visible eye. We commit the fruitful harvest to You, the Master Gardener.  In Jesus' Name...............Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and enjoy the rest of your week.
God Bless You,
Christina
