Hello

Today's
Message:
Heed
His Warning
Regardless
of whether or not we are Christians we all get ourselves caught up in
situations we wish we never gotten into. Most people, when they get
caught in these situations, try to figure out how they managed to let
things get so far out of hand. They think back to how it all started
in the first place and wish they had not even allowed it to happen.
While we can not do anything about the past, as Christians, it is
easier to get things right when we repent and seek help from God.
Isn't it amazing that no matter what situation we get ourselves into
God is always there to help us when we ask Him for it? You know, He
was even there before it all started and even warned us not to do it.
Yes, God does warn us that we better stop before it is too late, we
just ignore it and once we take that step there is no turning back.
God always allows temptation in our lives, but He never tempts us
with something that we can not get ourselves out of. “There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are
able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye
may be able to bear it.”
- I Corinthians 10:13. God tests our faithfulness to Him through
temptation, He knows people are going to fall from time to time, but
it is one thing to be faithful and sin once in a while than to
pretend to be faithful and live in sin. God will not be mocked, He
will cause judgment upon anyone who mocks Him and that is what He
warned the Israelites before the destruction of Jerusalem and is
warning nations as well.
God sent Jeremiah to warn Judah that
they had better repent before it is too late and Jerusalem is
destroyed, “If
thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if
thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt
thou not remove. And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in
judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless
themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. For thus saith the
LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground,
and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take
away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of
Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can
quench it, because of the evil of your doings.”
- Jeremiah 4:1-4. God is telling them to return to Him, but get rid
of all the things that are an abomination first. God wanted to bless
them, but He will not bless those that refuse to study His Word, and
apply His instructions to their lives. If we choose to reject God's
Word, and the laws and instructions He gave, He will not bless us and
this includes those who are ignorant to God's Word. Just because one
ignores God's Word it does not mean that he is exempt from suffering
the consequences for it. The word fallow means to be barren, empty,
and unprofitable, when a person who knows Christ disregards God he is
unprofitable and eventually he will fall and face His judgment. But
God assures all that if they just get rid of the things that keep
them from following Him wholeheartedly that they will be blessed and
not face any judgment.
As Jeremiah warns the people he begins
crying out to God for them, “Run
ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and
know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if
there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I
will pardon it. And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they
swear falsely. O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast
stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them,
but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their
faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. Therefore I
said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the
way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God. I will get me unto
the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way
of the LORD, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether
broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.”
- Jeremiah 5:1-5. God is telling the leaders that they have been
giving false information to the people, yet they refuse to hear or
learn the truth and are going to suffer for their foolish ways.
Today, just like then, even if you go into a house of God, they swear
that what they are saying is directly from God, and yet they teach a
bunch of false information. The false preachers go on deceiving the
people, they teach their lies and false doctrines, and swear that it
is in the Father's name. It's time to really examine the church that
you belong to and see for yourself if it lines up with God's Word, if
they are not Bible centered and encourage you to read another book
instead of the Bible you are being deceived.
God is giving us
all a warning, His judgment is not singled out just at Jerusalem, but
all nations and people who refuse to heed His warning.“To
whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold,
their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word
of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in
it....Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even
the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my
words, nor to my law, but rejected it.”
- Jeremiah 6:10,19. God is trying to get everyone's attention, do not
be deceived, heed the warning and get right with Him before it is too
late. Those who call themselves Christian's are going to have a rude
awakening because they have become so ignorant to God's Word that
they don't know what to expect. Like I said before, God will not be
mocked, “Be
not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap.”
- Galatians 6:7. Those who do not heed the warning and follow God's
Word with all their heart are going to face judgment.
Jesus
Said, “Take
heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying,
I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things
must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise
against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be
famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All
these are the beginning of sorrows.”
- Matthew 24:4-8. The Holy Spirit will always lead and be in
accordance with the Word of God. He will not contradict what is
written in God's Word. We need to recognize that the prophecies that
were written long ago are in fact happening today and exactly on
time, proving that the Word of God is accurate in detail. It could
become very disturbing to be living around the events that are
marking the close of this generation, without the knowledge that God
is in control. Praise God for His Word!
Enjoy the rest of
your day/night and week.
God Bless You, I am praying for
you,
Christina
