Today's
Message: I
Can Do It Later
One of
the biggest mistakes a person can make is to put off something with
the assumption that, “I can do it later.”
There
are many Christians that have good hearts, and intentions to love,
serve God, and do His will. However, good intentions are as Jesus
warned, the deception that would cover the earth in that final hour
of temptation. How many men were accurate of Jesus coming, at the
time that He first came. The religious community was 100% wrong,
their intentions were to kill Christ, and lift up their own false
doctrines that they created, when they twisted the laws of Moses. The
high priests, scribes, and Pharisees pretended to be what they were
not, keepers of the laws of Moses, when in fact they laid unfounded
burdens on God's people, murdered prophets, and killed Jesus Christ.
Watch and pay attention as the signs of our times come to pass. We
must grow skilled in the Word of God, and be familiar with God's
plan. The whole reason for Jesus Christ's teaching on the mount of
Olives, is to warn us to be prepared and not allow others to deceive
up. Jesus
said, “Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son
of man cometh. For the kingdom of
heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own
servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave
five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man
according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the
same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had
received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one
went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.”-
Matthew 25:13-18. These
talents did not belong to the servants, but remained the property of
their master. They were to be his stewards of the goods
entrusted to them. The goods
of this parable represent the opportunities and abilities that God
has given to us and that He expects us to use for His Kingdom.
The
servant who received five
talents
recognized that what he had received belonged to his master. “And
so he that had received five talents came and brought other five
talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold,
I have gained beside them five talents more.”
- Matthew 25:20. Likewise, the servant that received two talents also
recognized that what he received belonged to his master. “He
also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou
deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other
talents beside them.”
- Matthew 25:22. He was not expected to gain five since he had been
given according to his own ability. Both faithfully doubled their
talents and both were equally commended. The third servant had
received one
talent. He put forth no effort for his master. “Then
he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee
that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and
gathering where thou hast not strawed: And
I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there
thou hast that is thine.” - Matthew 25:24,25. His effort for
earthly security was inexcusable. He
tried to excuse himself like the person today who shows great
diligence working in the secular world, but says, I'm too busy now.
I'll serve the Lord at some more convenient time, or after I retire.
The consequences of neglecting the opportunities to serve his master
were irreversible, there was no second chance to relive his life.
Jesus is teaching us that even with one
talent we can do His Work. We are to sow the Word of God and let it
grow, the Holy Spirit is the watering can, as it grows it blossoms
into a Christian life. God
expects us to use what He has given us, or it will be taken from us.
If your gift is money, then use it for His service to spread the
word, if it is singing, then train your voice and sing the best you
can to glorify God, if it is driving a log truck, then witness where
you are, in the manner that seeds can be planted. It doesn't matter
what your gift is, you develop and use what you have to the glory of
spreading God's Word, where ever you are. This
is why God will never give us more then we can handle, because we are
responsible for what is put into our hands. This goes for spiritual
matters, as well as money, and wealth. He will bless us at our level
of ability. This is also the reason that God withholds wealth for
many of His elect, they simply could not handle it. This is kind,
just, and loving of our heavenly Father. God does not expect the same
from everyone, but He expects the same percentages, and effort with
what we have. He
doesn't expect the same of all men with respect to ability. However,
with the help of the Holy Spirit one can increase His abilities with
gifts that God has given to His servant. However, in order to
increase our abilities, we must ask Him for help, for God will not
interfere with the path of a persons free will, and this is because
at judgment you will have only your own self to blame. If you believe
on Jesus, and pray to the Father, then that help is given.
Have a
wonderful and blessed day/night
God
Bless You,
Christina
