Today's Message: Listen to The Holy Spirit
One of the many things we learn as we worship God is to listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides us, we not only become closer to God, we also learn all His truths.

The Israelite's were God's choose people whom were to be an example and testimony for all nations to know that there is a great and mighty God whom is the Creator of all things. Sadly, most of the Israelite's wanted nothing to do with God or just wanted to know Him on their own terms. God Said, “Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.” - Psalm 81:8-12. The Israelite's are no different from who we are today, in fact, we are experiencing what is known as dé-jà vu, an impression of having seen or experienced these things before, all one has to do is read through the Old Testament and see that we are replaying the same scenarios. God is not just speaking to the Israelite's here, He is speaking to all nations and if they do not do something now they are going to regret it deeply when nation upon nation gets destroyed because they will not hearken (listen) to God.

Many people, religions, and even some Christian's can not understand the fact that there is only One Omnipotent God, meaning that He is the almighty, authority, and infinite in power. When He speaks about other gods, He is not referring to other omnipotent gods, He is referring to man made gods. When the Israelite's were too impatient to wait on God they created their own gods and began worshiping them (See Exodus 32). The Apostle Paul said, “But if any man love God, the same is known of him. As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” - I Corinthians 8:3-6. Paul is saying that many will make up their own gods in heaven and earth, but there is only One God.

Sometimes the unbelieving world looks down on the Christian who turns his back on the pleasures of this world. But to be a servant of the Omnipotent God is better than all the pleasure of a rich man's world. “Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them............Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” - Psalm 84:4,5,9-11.

The Holy Spirit inspired David to write Psalm 86, “Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.” - Psalm 86:1-7. When David prayed he was acknowledging his total dependence and trust in God. As a child of God we are all to depend and trust Him. Once we understand the loving care of God over each of His children, we need not allow fear to cause doubt and destroy our trust. The Holy Spirit indwells in all who accept Jesus into their lives, He is our guide and talks to us all day long, it is up to us to listen to Him. If we want to see more blessings in our lives we need to learn to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
I want to be vigilant in equipping myself today as I battle the spiritual forces of evil. Though I wage war in this present and evil generation I have a body guard in the presence of the Holy Spirit Who gives me power over the enemy of my soul.  Today, I stand against the devil’s schemes because I take on the full armor of God; the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. As I prayerfully take on this spiritual armor I am fully equipped with the necessary provisions to overcome discouragement and defeat. In Jesus' Name...........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and enjoy the rest of the week, I'm praying for you.

God Bless,
Christina
