Today's Message: Our Lifeline
Many times the struggles we face can literally cause us to die spiritually and become lifeless, however our lifeline in the form of the Holy Spirit remains with us to give us the jolt we need to come back to life.

An amazing transformation begins when we accept Jesus Christ into our lives, we literally feel alive and each day we grow closer to Him we learn to enjoy life no matter what circumstances we face. However, there are times in our lives when things just seem utterly hopeless no matter how much faith we have.
After Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC, most of the Israelite's who survived were scattered throughout Babylon. Since the Temple and City of God were destroyed, they gave up all hope for the restoration of Jerusalem and returning to their homeland. It was during this time of hopelessness that Ezekiel was given a new vision by God. “The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.” - Ezekiel 37:1-3. The dry bones represent a body that is dried up and has no life to it. It may be alive physically, but it struggles to even get up in the morning. It may have some life to it at times, but it does not last and is always searching for something more to get it going again.

Now, watch how God brings life to the dry bones, “Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews (tendons) upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.” - Ezekiel 37:5-10. The wind represents the Spirit of God, before His spirit entered the skin and flesh that had been formed on the dry bones, they were lifeless. It was only when His spirit came upon them that they had life to them. No power on earth, except for our Creator can bring life to a dead, dry body.

In the midst of the Israelite's sorrow Ezekiel was commanded to proclaim the good news that there was hope for their dead nation. “
Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD............And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.” - Ezekiel 37:12-14, 24-28. It has been more than 2500 years, and the Israelite's still exist as a nation within the promised land and God will soon fulfill His promise to King David, who is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ, whom will rule the world from Jerusalem as we all reunite to join Him there.

Today, we are blessed to be able to find life through the Holy spirit, who dwells in each and every person who accepts Christ. He is our lifeline and without Him we will literally die spiritually. Thank God that we do not have to worry about Him ever leaving us. Jesus Said, “These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” - John 14:25-27. Although we struggle at times to find life in these flesh bodies, the Holy Spirit is with us and comfort us and bring us back to life.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and weekend.
God Bless You,
Christina
