Today's
Message: The Good News
There is
no more important message in all the world than the Good News that
Jesus died for our sins.
The book of Isaiah reveals to us two
prophecies concerning the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ, which
are called "Advents". The first Advent prophesied that the
Messiah would come as a Servant, very common and despised by the
leader so of that day, and this we know to be true. “For
he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a
dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see
him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He
is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was
despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted.” - Isaiah 53:2-4. The
physical appearance of Jesus is not what brought the people out, but
the Spiritual divine intervention by God was felt by those around
Him. There was an inner peace and beauty about Him. When He spoke the
crowds were drawn to Him, and taken by what He had to say. Jesus
Words were different then what was given in the Temple by the
religious leaders, and when Jesus taught even the religious leaders
listened to what He had to say. They knew that what Jesus spoke was
true, and that teaching was against what was being taught in the
Temple.
When
Jesus Christ went to the cross, He carried your sin to the cross also
for you, He was that Passover Lamb that was slaughtered for the sins
of the people. “But
he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the
iniquity of us all. He was
oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her
shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” - Isaiah
53:5-7. Jesus was corrected,
judged, spit upon, and cursed, took the insults and sufferings
because He was not doing it for Himself, He was doing it for each
person that would believe on His name, and seek repentance to the
Father in Jesus name. As Jesus hung on that cross and the curses went
out to Him, God watched down upon His Son dying on that cross and
allowed it. God loved you so much that He would let His only begotten
Son go through shame and cursings, the whipping, spitting upon, and
the thorns being driven into his skull all to pay the price so that
you and I could come to Him in repentance, and ask forgiveness for
the sins we do. “Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also
himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might
destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And
deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.” - Hebrews 2:14,15 .
Isaiah
also prophesied of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, only
at this time Jesus would not come as the lowly carpenter's son. At
Christ's second coming He would come riding on that beautiful white
horse, and a Man the world would worship and respect, for at His
second coming every knee would bow and tongue confess that He is
Lord. At Jesus Christ second coming He would be recognized as the
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. “And
I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge
and make war. His eyes
were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had
a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed
with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of
God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white
horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth
goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he
shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of
the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture
and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
- Revelation 19:11-16 . Jesus'
second coming will be at the seventh and last trumpet as given in the
book of Revelation. This will be the end of this earth age of the
flesh, for at that time all mankind living in the flesh shall be
changed in the wink of an eye into their new incorruptible bodies.
Those spiritual bodies shall never age or become sick but will be as
the angels have. At this time all souls that were Biblically
illiterate while in their flesh bodies will see the truth of God's
Word and understand completely all the truths of God's Holy Word. At
Christ's second coming the truth will saturate the entire world, and
all those evil things that distracted our minds while in the flesh
bodies will be removed from our midst. Praise the Lord!
Today's
Prayer:
Dear
God,
Lord, though
we don’t know the day nor the hour, You already have the blessed
event of Christ’s return on Your heavenly calendar. Even as
the Son of Man ascended into heaven He will come again, but this time
we have the blessed hope of ascending with Him in the air and joining
with those of like precious faith. Thank You for loved ones and
witnesses of the truth who have repeated this glorious
life-transforming message to us over the years preparing our hearts
for this major event. May it be the resounding message from our
lips as we anticipate the glorious moment when we will all be changed
in the twinkling of an eye. In Jesus' Name..........Amen.
Have
a wonderful and blessed day/night and enjoy the rest of your week.
