A description
of the beauty of the Bride and the affections between the Bridegroom
and His Bride.
Hello
My Friend/Guest,
“Therefore
being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace
wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God... For
when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood,
we shall be saved from wrath through him. For
if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of
his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his
life...Therefore
as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation;
even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men
unto justification of life.”
- Romans 5:1,2,6-10,18.
No greater love has Jesus shown than
to give His life for all mankind, He sacrificed His life for every
person born, past, present, and future. Why? Two reasons, one, to
save us from judgment, which is to be cast into hell when we die. And
two, to reconcile our relationship with God, meaning to make peace
with Him. Without Jesus God will not even acknowledge us, we are
simply a creation of God. However, with Jesus we become a child of
God. Now, here is the key to being saved, it is not enough to believe
in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, they must
admit that they have sinned in their lifetime, making them a sinner,
and have to ask Jesus to save them. It's that simple, believe, ask,
receive, it's only by faith that we are saved, not by any good that
we have done. “For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”-
Ephesian 2:8,9.
When a person gets saved, fireworks go off,
it's as if a huge weight comes off our bodies. The more we get to
know Christ, the more we realize He loves us and is ours forever. In
fact, the closer we get to Him the more we learn what His desires are
toward us, which is illustrated here by a wife realizing the love of
her husband.
“I
am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me. Come, my beloved, let
us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get
up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether
the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I
give thee my loves. The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are
all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for
thee, O my beloved.”
- Song of Solomon 7:10-13.
The believer should triumph in
their relationship with Christ and rejoice in the hold that He has on
them. He is always with us, ready and willing to help us flourish,
but we must keep our eyes on Him, otherwise we tend to forget that
His presence never leaves us. He is the vine, we are the branches, He
gives life to us and helps us grow so beautifully. The amazing thing
is that He loves to show His love and affection for us as we show
ours to Him. “If
ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.”
- John 15:7.
Those who are espoused to the Lord Jesus, should
desire constant intimacy and freedom with Him, never fearing being
despised by the world for it. Let's face it, people are going to mock
you for loving Christ, but they will either figure out that they need
Him too one day or end up in hell if they don't. It's their decision,
but Christ never gives up on them.
“Who
is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?
I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee
forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee. Set me as a seal
upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as
death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of
fire, which hath a most vehement flame. Many
waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man
would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly
be contemned.”-
Song of Solomon 8:5-7.
Believers, by the power of God's
grace, are brought up out of the wilderness. A sinful state is a
wilderness in which there is no true comfort, it is a wandering,
wanting state. There is no coming out of this wilderness, but by
leaning on Christ as our Beloved, by faith, not leaning on our own
understanding, nor trusting in any righteousness of our own, but in
the strength of Him, who put His seal on all who trust Him. “Trust
in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
thy paths.”
- Proverbs 3:5,6.
Honestly,
we are going to suffer once in a while, just like any relationship,
it takes work to love one another, but Jesus loves us unconditionally
and patiently waits for us as we build up our relationship with Him.
The only way to build that relationship and see ourselves flourish is
by letting Him direct our paths. His seal is upon us, He loves us,
knows us, and He will never leave us nor we forsake us.
“If
we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will
deny us: If
we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny
himself...Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth...Who
concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past
already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless
the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord
knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of
Christ depart from iniquity.”
- II Timothy 2:12,13,15,18,19.
