You know when you stop and think about all the trouble that you had gotten into over the years you can truly realize just how blessed to not only have a Savior in Jesus Christ, but to also be a child of God in that no matter how many stupid decisions you have made you are forgiven and can still be used by God. Do not believe me? Well, let's take a look at Abraham and Sarah, When Abraham was seventy-five years old, God came to him with the promise that he was going to become the father of many nations. Now, years had come to pass and Abraham still has no child. To give him even more doubts was the fact that his wife Sarah was well stricken in her years as well. So, they pretty much gave up hope that they would have a child. However, Abraham did believe that God meant what He said, but instead of letting God make the decision as to who would bare his seed, he chose to listen to human reasoning, his wife to be exact. Sarah told Abraham to take her handmaid as a wife and use her to bare a child. “
Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.” - Genesis 16:1-4. You know, they say that a man is the head of the house, but even way back when the world began women have been influencing men to do stupid things. Any woman that has ever been in a relationship knows that once she gets the man he becomes her territory, if any other woman comes near him, the claws come out. So, can you imagine what Sarah had realized once she convinced Abraham to have a child with Hagar? Of course she was jealous and hateful. Ladies, we have major power, but that does not mean that we are to use that power to influence men to do ridiculous things. It is very important that women realize that they set the example for men, even their sons, if they see immorality in their mother then they will think it is okay to be immoral themselves. Now, do not get me wrong, a man can have just as much influence on a woman, I am proof of that, but it was no excuse for me to be reckless and do what I know deep down was the wrong thing to do.

After all that, God went to Abraham and told him that he was wrong. Do you think God gave up on Abraham? Of course not, He still knew that Abraham had faith in Him, but he also knew that he had flesh. God assured Abraham that he would bare a son and with Sarah. “
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations...........And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.” - Genesis 17:1-4,15-19. Abraham was now 99 years old and Sarah was 90. At her age, it was humanly impossible for Sarah to have a child. But God revealed to Abraham that she would bare him a child. One of the great tests of our faith is waiting upon the Lord. It may take two days, weeks, years, or as in Abraham's situation, 25 years for our prayers to be answered or for God to fulfill the promises He makes to us. However, God has the perfect plan for us and knows when the time is right to give us what we need. It can be tempting to help God out and take things into our own hands, but all we do is make things worse. Every time we go above the Lord we go backward instead of forward in our walk with Him. Then God has to go back to square one and show us that we need to slow down and wait for Him. What we think we need in the present is nothing compared to what God has in store for us, all we have to do to get it is wait on Him. Praise God that no matter how much we had gotten ourselves into and even if we manage to do it again that He will forgive us and we are saved through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Enjoy the rest of your day/night and
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
