Today's Message: Trust God
As Christian's, we will all face many trials that test our trust in God. Are we willing to trust Him through it all or seek other means to handle the situation? God will give us a way out of every situation as long as we trust Him to show us the way.

Most of the Psalms were written by David, some were written during the time in his life when he was in danger of being killed by King Saul, whom was determined to have David killed so he would not be able to take over as king. During this time, David's friends urged him to flee into the mountains of Judah to escape king Saul, and although he was in danger, his faith was unshaken, he stood his ground and trusted in God to keep him safe. “In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.” - Psalm 11. David expressed absolute assurance that his righteousness will triumph. Often, Christian's can expect to have their faith tested as David's was, we too need to stand our ground and trust in God, remember, faith without works is dead, if we do not keep working to increase our faith, reading His Word and praying, then we will never be able to handle the tougher situations that we encounter.

Many of the Psalms also foretell the coming of Christ, David asks God a very important question which leads one to wonder, “Who in fact does qualify to dwell in the presence of God?”, “Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.” - Psalm 15. The Holy Spirit provided the answer, “He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.”. In order to walk upright and work righteousness one needs to a child of God, which one can only become by accepting Jesus Christ into their lives. Once a person accepts Christ with all his/her heart, he/she becomes a child of God and day by day is transformed into an upright, righteous person qualified to dwell with God.

The book of Psalms also offers assurance that all who believe in Him will rise to share His resurrection and eternal life.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” - Psalm 17:7-11. If you did not catch it in this verse, David prophesied, “because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved......my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell”. Jesus showed us the path of life, and forty days after His resurrection He ascended up to heave to take His place at the right hand of God, just as David foretold. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: ….........And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” Acts 1:2,3-7-9.

What a wonderful God we have, in the midst of all our troubles and sorrows He gives us assurance and hope that He will never forsake nor leave us. Regardless of whether or not one follows Christ, all people will endure trials in their lives. What makes us different is that We have a Wonderful and Mighty God who gives all who trust in Him hope and the fulness of joy as we enjoy His presence in our lives.

Today;s Psalm: 13:5
“But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.”

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, we are thankful that there is no one who comes to You through Jesus who goes away unable to find reconciliation with You, for You save completely and to the uttermost. Because Your Son lives and intercedes for us we have renewed hope daily for the circumstances of our lives and for the people that are dear to our hearts. Fill our hearts with hope, joy, happiness, and encouragement as we endure our trials, standing upon Your Holy Word and fully trusting in You to guide us day by day out of every situation that we encounter. In Jesus' Name...........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and weekend.
God Bless,
Christina
