Today's Message: United As One
As Christian's, we are to be united as one, for we are the Body of Christ. Sadly, the lack of unity among Christian's reveals the lack of love for Jesus.

The anointing oil that was poured upon the head of Aaron, the first high priest, was a foreshadowing of the anointing, of the indwelling Holy Spirit upon all believers of Christ. The psalmist reminds us, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” - Psalm 133. This psalm was sung three times a year by those who went to worship at Jerusalem on God's appointed feast days. There were all kinds of people on the road to Jerusalem, but they had one thing in common, they were all going to the city of God to worship their Lord. The oil poured out symbolized the Holy Spirit who, in love, covers as well as penetrates the lives of those who have submitted themselves to Him. The Holy Spirit is our guide, instructor, and the only one whom can show us how we can have a right relationship with God. Many people, who claim to know God, are clueless because in order to know God one has to be anointed with the Holy Spirit, which they lack.

Unity that is pleasant to God is the unity of Christians that can only be brought about through the Holy Spirit. It is like many musicians in a great orchestra playing in harmony. There may be a great diversity of instruments, yet there is perfect unity. All true believers in Christ regardless of denomination, nationality, education, or wealth have been redeemed by the same Savior, serve the same Master, cherish the same hope, and are looking forward to the same heaven. All of us are subject to trials, temptations, and sorrows and not one of us is perfect or knows all the answers, but we all are led by the same Spirit. It is therefore an expression of His love to dwell together in unity. “Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD. Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God. Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.” - Psalm 135:1-4. We, whom are God's peculiar treasure are to praise God continually for we are the house of the LORD. That's right, We are His Temple and those who have been anointed with the Holy Spirit will praise God knowing that He is with us and will help us through all our circumstances.

Since the day of Pentecost, the indwelling Holy Spirit lives within all true Christians, that is those whom have accepted Jesus as the only begotten Son of God, who died on the cross, was buried, and resurrected three days later, saving us from all the sins of the world. “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” - I John 2:23-27. Anyone that denies who Jesus truly is does not know God at all, but those who believe in Him come to know God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will teach us truthd as He abides in us. We should express our oneness without partiality, regardless of race, nationality, education, or wealth, for together we are the Body of Christ.

The key to true unity is, “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” - Philippians 2:2-8. Our fallen nature is ever prone to distort unwelcome encounters with others and our emotions can create a crisis out of unimportant incidents. Added to this, we all too often selfishly demand our own rights and blame our frustrations on others. Pride, self-will, and an independent spirit are divisive and are all enemies of the Spirit-filled life. It is Christlike to accept personal offense with patience rather than to react to someone's rudeness. We need to recognize that people's bad attitudes are often momentary frustrations caused by conflicts, sorrows, sufferings, or bad news. God permits difficult people to come into our lives to give us an opportunity to express His love and patience toward them, just as our Lord has made known His love and mercy toward us.

Today's Prayer:
Dear God,
Lord, we pray for a spirit of cooperation and eagerness to contribute to the needs of the whole body, so that Your Church is built not just with sweat, bricks, and mortar, but with  love, care, and teamwork.  Therefore we go forth in unity and purpose as we do our part in building each other up in the various natural giftings and learned skills You have given us as we strive for unity in the faith and in the knowledge of Jesus through the Holy Spirit whom indwells in all believers. In Jesus Name........Amen.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and enjoy your weekend.
God Bless You,
Christina
