Today's Message: Walk In The Light
Did you ever try to walk in the dark? If you were familiar with your surroundings you might be able to get around a little bit, but if you do not know where you are going, it would be a little harder, you'd be running into things, stumbling over the slightest thing, and may even fall. I commend the blind for their ability to get around without sight. I have heard that the blind can hear and smell very well, I imagine they depend on their ears and noses quite a bit to be aware of their surroundings. You know, even though we can see with our eyes it does not necessarily mean that people can not blind. The word blind means to be indifferent or careless, unaware or ignorant. The Bible says, “
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” - II Corinthians 4:3,4.

The lost are those who are not saved, the god of this world in no one other than Satan and he is the one who blinds, makes indifferent or ignorant, the lost to the truth about the Gospel of Christ. Jesus was well aware that people were out to get Him, but that did not stop Him from being there for the ones that He loved. While Jesus loves and gave His life for all, He is always there for those who believe in Him. There was a man named Lazarus who was a dear friend of Jesus', He got message that Lazarus was dying so He and the disciples headed to his house. The disciples feared that Jesus would get harmed, but Jesus continued forward. “
His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.”- John 11:8-10.

Without Christ guiding us we might as well be blind because we will always be stumbling as if we are walking in the dark. It is not until one approaches us or we get a thought in our head that we begin searching for something more than what the world has to offer and find Christ. I remember when I got to that point, I was involved with a man that ended up in prison and in the process of trying to free him I fell apart mentally and physically. I knew something was missing and began seeking answers from God only to be reminded that it was Christ that I needed. “
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world....And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.” - I John 2:15,16,22.

Our Lord publicly proclaimed, that every one who believed on him, as His true disciple, did not believe on Him only, but on the Father who sent him. “
Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.” - John 12:44-50.

Beholding in Jesus the glory of the Father, we learn to obey, love, and trust in Him. By daily looking to Him, who came a Light into the world, we are more and more freed from the darkness of ignorance, error, sin, and misery and learn that the true gift of God is our Savior who is the only way to everlasting life. Christ has chosen you. You are no longer held by the blindness that Satan has instilled you with, but are free from bondage through the wonderful light of Christ. “
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” -I Peter 2:9,10. Praise God!

If you do not know Christ, He is calling you, He is not judging you, He is trying to save you. Accept Him today and you too will be shining in the Light and free from all held you in bondage. “
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” - Galatians 5:1.

Enjoy the rest of your day/night and have a great weekend.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
