Today's Message: Way of Life
We have the spiritual power to do and make anything happen, through God, but true spiritual power comes only as we make Him and His Word a way of life.

In life things rarely go as we plan, we see something we desire and reach for it, some of us even go to great measures in order to reach them. However, many are not achieved for one major reason, God. If what we are reaching for goes against His Word or keeps us from growing with Him than we will not get it or keep it for very long. Now, if it is in God's will for us to receive these things that we will receive them as we press forward in faith and spiritual power. The Israelite's had probably given up all hope that they would ever see Jerusalem again as well as enjoy the presence of God whom earlier, i
n a vision, Ezekiel had witnessed His departure from the magnificent, but now destroyed, Temple built by Solomon. The Israelite's had chosen to ignore God's Word and were actually worshiping idols, the sun, and all sorts of creatures in the Temple that had been dedicated to God alone and now Jerusalem and the once glorious kingdom of Israel were only memories. However, God never goes back on His promise, in a new vision Ezekiel sees a new Temple, far greater than Solomon's, where the glory of the Lord would return to dwell. “Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.”- Ezekiel 43:1-5. God will return through the Eastern Gate in the same way that He departed from the Temple, hovering over from Mount of Olives, where He dwelt after He left. Incidentally, it was at the Mount of Olives that Jesus would pray and meet with God. “And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.” - Luke 21:37.

One of the serious errors of Ezekiel's day was that there was much planning, but not much praying going on, they were depending on themselves to get things done instead of God and of course when things were not happening they began to question God. They failed to realize that God was speaking, but they were not listening. None of the religious heads of authority in Jerusalem could discern the presence of God nor hear Him speak because they would not listen to Him. That is why He used prophets to reach those who did not desire to listen for and follow His Will. It is only the one who desires to know Him and His Word that can say, “I hear You, Lord” when He speaks. “And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.” - Ezekiel 43:6. God has something to teach us in every chapter of the Bible and our spiritual power is in direct relationship to how much time we spend in His Word with a desire to obey Him and know His Will for our lives. Think about it, in order to be a doctor, nurse, or even a cashier we need to be taught and tested by a teacher in order to know that what we are doing is correct. If we do not do listen to what we are being taught than we will never be correct and never go very far. God is our teacher and He instructs us through His Word. How can we expect spiritual power if we do not listen? So how does God speak? He speaks through His Word, visions, and other men and women who desire to please God.

The physical Temple had foreshadowed the life and ministry of Christ, much of it compares to Solomon's Temple as symbols. However, in the millennium there will be no need for symbols because God the Father and Jesus Christ, whom the symbols represented, will be present. Our concern should not be how and when the prophecies will be fulfilled, but above all else we should be concerned that our body, mind, and spirit be prepared for the Lord's return. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” - II Peter 3:9-13.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and week
God Bless You,
Christina
