Today's Message: Where is Jesus?
Many churches boast on teaching the doctrine of the Bible, but they do not do anything to set an example for the church. If we say we are Christian's then we are to be an example of Christ. If we are an example of Christ than where is Jesus.

As Christian's we not only represent the church we represent God. Jesus speaks to the churches whom have become lax in their duties to teach and follow the correct doctrine. The Church in Sardis could boast that there were no false doctrines being taught; but there was an equally serious sin, they we not living the way the Bible taught. “
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy” - Revelation 3:1-4. Being dead in works is when one teaches the Word of God, but does not apply that teaching to their own lives. Thankfully, all who confess of their sins are forgiven and made white, but if we preach the Word of God we must practice what we preach. I am a Sunday School teacher to 6-9 year old girls, I set an example for them to follow, if I do not do what I teach them then they will question why we even go to church and fall away from God before they reach high school.

The Church in Philadelphia probably seemed weak and insignificant as far as the world was concerned, their number was small and they had only a little strength within the church, but Jesus commended their little bit of strength. “
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” - Revelation 3:7-11. All who remain faithful to Jesus no matter what they face, and this includes times when all we have is the strength to say "Help Me, Jesus" can find comfort and peace as they patiently await for things to come to pass. Jesus will come in the blink of an eye and all whom have put their faith and trust in Him will be saved from all the deceitfulness and wickedness that Satan is going to place upon the people of the world.

The Laodicean believers prided themselves on their ability to compromise with the world. The majority of church members probably congratulated themselves on being moderate and broad-minded, but Jesus saw nothing commendable about what they were doing. “
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” - Revelation 3:14-19. We can not compromise with the world in order to fit in or live in peace with those who do, there is going to be conflicts between believers and non-believers. I commend those whom are believers and are married to or have loved ones that are not, it takes a lot of strength to endure those kind of circumstances. However, unless things change you nor your family will get very far with God. I see so many split families in my church and it is not until I see both parents come together as accept Christ that I see things change for them.

Today, Jesus is still knocking on the doors of those whom have backslid, He is right there waiting for you to open the door. “
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” - Revelation 3:20,21. It is of utmost importance that our lives and attitudes be true expressions of His love ruling our hearts and lives. Our worship in church is meaningless unless it is our heart's desire is to please Him. Jesus said that no one can serve two masters, we either live for Him or the world. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” - Matthew 6:24. Jesus much rather us not be devoted to Him at all then to try fit Him into our schedule. If we want things to change in our lives it is time to take a serious look at how we are living them. If we are in anyway compromising our relationship with Jesus in order to satisfy the world things will never change.

Have a wonderful and blessed day/night and Merry Christmas.
God Bless You,
Christina
