Earnest
The
word Earnest means an intensely or excessively serious and grave
manner or attitude.
"If
thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly
asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there
is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family."
- I Samuel 20:6”
Epistles
The
word Epistles means letters. All the books from Romans to Jude in the
New Testament are actually letters written to specific groups of
people, however were meant for all believers who follow the Jesus
Christ.
Eternal
Death
The
phrase Eternal Death refers to the second death that occurs to all
who have not accepted that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. “
"And
death and hell were cast into the lake
of fire.
This is the second death."
- Revelation 20:14.
All who have not accepted Jesus will face
a spiritual death of lasting an eternity in a lake of fire.
Eternal
Life
The
phrase Eternal Life means that all who accepted that Jesus is the
only way to Heaven are saved from the lake of fire and will enjoy
eternity with God in Heaven and eventually back on earth when Jesus
returns.
"For
the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- Romans 6:23
Eunuch
The
word Eunuch means a man or boy whose testicles have been removed or
do not function.
"For
there are some eunuchs,
which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some
eunuchs,
which were made eunuchs
of men: and there be eunuchs,
which have made themselves eunuchs
for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let
him receive it."
- Matthew 19:12
Evangelist
The
word Evangelist means a publisher of glad tidings. An Evangelist is a
missionary preacher of the Gospel.
"And
he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;"
- Ephesians 4:11
Exalt
The
word exalt means to praise or worship someone or something.
"For
whosoever exalteth
himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be
exalted."
- Luke 14:11
Execration
The
word execration means, something that is cursed or loathed.
"For
thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my
fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so
shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into
Egypt: and ye shall be an execration,
and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see
this place no more."

Exile
The
word Exile means an absence from ones own country. "The
captive exile
hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the
pit, nor that his bread should fail."
