Knowing The Truth About Creation

Many people question why it is important to know the truth about creation. Since the foundation of Christianity lies on the Word of God it is important that we understand the truth on how it all started. When we speak of Christianity we must first begin with some kind of an understanding of God and who He is.

Many would assume that all Christians have the same idea about who God is and His character, yet it is amazing that within Christianity there are various ideas about God. Sadly, many who call themselves Christian's have never read the Bible or at least a Bible containing all of God's Word.

Knowing God starts with the first book of the Bible, the book of Genesis. The book of Genesis actually means beginnings, meaning that it is the beginning of all things, including heaven, the earth, and everything that is on the earth, sky, rocks, land, plants, animals, and people to name a few.

Sadly, some Christians, including the Catholic church itself, see creation as a fable, a story for the uneducated and simple people of those times. However, when the various books of the Bible were selected the people were not, in the main, illiterate, they were well educated scholars. There was no need for made up stories to be added to the well established texts that the Jewish nation had used for many years. Also, it would be counter productive to include the Genesis 1 text if this was not seen as a genuine part of the Scriptures. It would be obvious to people that if some of the Bible was false then the rest of it had no credibility either!

There is a way of presenting God's Grace that many Christians use as an illustration. They picture a wall where a line is drawn one foot above the floor level. The area below the line represents us, the nicest and best amongst us are towards the top of this area, and the worst of us are towards the bottom, But the line that represents God is thousands of miles up in the sky! The difference between the worst and the best of us is insignificant when we are compared to God. We are all sinners in the eyes of God, but His Grace is available to all! Yet many strong and faithful Christians cannot accept that our God is big enough to be the creator of all things and for Genesis 1 to be absolutely correct. If God was not able to create the Universe and everything in it in then He would not be God!

God is big enough to have created the Universe any way He wanted. Genesis 1 explains how He chose to do it. So do not be worried about the theory of evolution. Know what evolutionists are saying and understand how they attack Christianity. We have an answer to the other religions. Evolution is a religion so be prepared to answer their converts! When one sees the anti-Christian stance by many evolutionists and the way that many evolutionists publicly attack Christianity rather than explain their religion, it is quite clear that Christians should be careful not to get caught up with the theory of evolution.

How can anyone seriously believe that something as huge as our Universe with the huge variety of life on earth being composed of infinitely complex DNA, could have occurred by random chance? Yet some do! And they believe that evolution is absolutely true despite having no scientific evidence of any sort to back it up!

The Theory of Evolution sounds like a religion to me, and one that is clearly not Christian! So is evolutionary theory just another alternative religion to keep people away from Salvation through Christ?

Questioning Creation Creates Fallacy (Inconsistencies) of The Entire Bible
God is the Creator of All things and if we question the creation then nothing stops us from questioning all the events that have taken place in the Bible, including Jesus saving all mankind from hell. Those who believe that the theory of evolution is the scientific explanation of the existence of the universe and of life on earth, need to understand that it is just a theory and that the science itself does not support it. In fact one needs more faith to believe in evolution and that we exist simply by pure random chance and that there is no purpose at all in our lives, than one does to believe in a Creator God!

Does it matter if Christians do not accept Genesis as the way the universe and the earth were created?
It does for several reasons:

1. Genesis is written as a factual account.

2. If God made this up and it was not true then why would we be expected to believe anything else in the Bible?

3. Genesis explains the purpose and the fall of Man. Man was designed to be in the image of God. But the first man and woman chose to follow their own way. They thought that they did not need the one who created them! So their nature became corrupted and this corruption was passed on to subsequent generations, but even at this stage God had provided a way for restoration.

Jesus Christ Fulfilled The Plan of God.
This leaves one to question without the fall of man why do Christians need Jesus Christ at all?

As Christians we should not be concerned about Darwin and theories of evolution (in the same way we should not be concerned about the other religions). There is no difference between the theory of Evolution and the other major world religions. They are all opposed to Christianity and they all have their own doctrines that may be similar to Christianity or may be radically different.

Christians know the Bible is the Word of God to us. They know that they should trust God and that what He says really does matter! No Christian will have any problems standing before Christ and say that they believed the Word of God as written in the Bible. I am not sure about those Christians who tell Jesus that they believed that most of the Bible was true, but the bit about Creation was obviously not serious!
